Holy Crap I am well into Iron Fist now and I am digging it. It still isn’t the best Marvel show but that’s ok cause literally only one can be the best. I am liking it a lot this season though to be fair the stand out way better than the rest parts are the scenes with Misty and Colleen together. Fuck they rule. They get almost an entire episode together as my dream Marvel TV show. I know I’m not the only one asking for the Daughters of the Dragon and boy, their work together in this, their chemistry, it just makes it seem like a sure hit. My introduction to Colleen Wing came via old Iron Fist issues. When I was a kid Chris Claremont was king and he and John Byrne had a warm up run together before they made X-Men the comic by working on Iron Fist. I actually go tin because the first appearance of Sabretooth ever was in an Iron Fist Comic. Colleen green was almost too cool a character concept in that in the comics she is a Samurai detective, which is just amazing. She was also very liberated and independent in a very 1970’s way, as were most of Claremont’s women. I saw her kill a man in almost cold blood once. He had it coming but they were not fighting. She just drew her blade and slit his stomach in the middle of a speech. I knew she was a bad ass. I also watched her date Cyclops (fun fact I bet plenty of people didn’t know) and make her move by slipping him a card with her apartment key taped inside as he got on a train. I dunno if that’s badass or not but it made a mark cause I still remember it. I legit didn’t know you could make moves like that. Lord knows I don’t have the guts for that kind of thing. Anyway, she was awesome and… the first season I liked her but my brain rebelled against her being part of the Hand (spoilers I guess? It’s been a year). This second season though… man she feels like Colleen Wing. I have always liked Jessica Henwick’s portrayal but this year man. She’s perfect. All of it. The righteous angry, the barely contained rage, the good heart. She rules. And like she and Misty are the best part of this show. A show I am liking all around but they are so good it’s ridiculous. Today I want to fuck Jessica Henwick.
