I woke up yesterday to my phone telling me that Doja Cat had released a new track, Mooo! This served as a reminded that I have had the video on my watch later list for like two weeks because I am old and often my reaction to new stuff now is to go, “Oh, I’ll have to remember to get to that” as opposed to when it used to be, “Drop everything, we are watching this right now”. Boy was I missing out. I actually almost posted her back in the spring at some point. It was whenever Go to Town came out because that song was also quite frankly awesome. I would use a euphemism for what it was about but it was pretty openly about eating pussy so I am not sure why I should beat around the bush if she wasn’t. Oh god, there’s a joke there but there’s a line about being shaved so the joke wouldn’t even make sense. Anyway, Mooo! has taken the internet by storm and it’s a work of sheer brilliance. Now, I know someone will try just say it’s stupid but they strike me as very boring people. Because yes it is very stupid. And hilarious. And catchy. And that’s the point. It actually takes a smart person to put stuff like this together and her music has always been striking in how catchy it is and how all over the map the subject matter is. Anyway, I am posting her cause she’s kind of cool and kind of hot. I hope new found fame is good for her, I have already heard rumblings of controversy but haven’t dug too deep. We all have our trials, because all of a sudden I have heard people say Doja Cow and I get why they made that mistake and I am really worried my fingers will betray me. Anyway, the truth is the song is a real ear worm and has been stuck in my head so as hard as decent pictures were to find I am just embracing it. Today I want to fuck Doja Cat.
