For a show where I just despised the pilot it’s amazing how much I am digging Riverdale (even though I want to type Archie every time).  At first my fears were that it was a dark and twisted and so boring re-imagining of the Archie Universe that would wade through my least favorite tropes in the world, including the idea that all young people are irredeemable moral reprobates corrupted by laziness and easy access to everything and the idea that somehow bleakness and negativity is profound and deep while anything with hope is shallow and facile.  I tend to hate lazy faux-intellectualism and I really hate how much people love to shit on the youth of today, and by the youth of today I mean through out history that is a thing that has always happened.  If you’d like to hear about how unambitious and lazy the generation of Julius Ceasar was I can point you towards some Roman texts.  Anyway, the show ended up not being that which was a relief but even better it has done something very few shows ever accomplish, it has mainly filled its universe with good people.  That doesn’t mean there aren’t problems and conflicts but other than some fucked up adults, these are good, well meaning human beings.  Which is a relief because that was always part of the appeal of the Archie Universe.  These were normal teenagers and like normal teenagers they might be selfish or foolish or cruel in a moment but at their core they were good people just trying to figure out life. They are good to each other and they are friends.  It’s a nice change of pace because as entertaining as it can be you’ll notice most TV dramas are populated by sociopaths and narcissists who are so selfishly motivated in their every action the world would be a horror show if reality was at all like that.  So this is why I have warmed up the Riverdale, even the mean girls are humanized and maybe they aren’t just evil engines of destruction but people desperately trying to get by.  Veronica is still the best character on the show which makes sense cause she was always the best character in the comic but I am liking what they are doing with perpetual side character and also ran Cheryl Blossom. She seemed like a typical mean girl and in many ways is but her erratic behavior as it gets fleshed out feels more real.  Sympathy for the devil I suppose.  Madelaine Petsch is might nice to look at too.  Which is nice.  So today I want to fuck Madelaine Petsch.

This is Catherine Deneuve one of the biggest stars of French Cinema ever.   I am not sure exactly where she ranks because I am not French and as such I couldn’t tell you if she is more famous than Isabelle Huppert or Jean-Luc Goddard, I just know she’s up there.  Also, of note, she was also the face of Marianne, the embodiment of the French Republic, in the 80’s, so given the Laetitia Casta post the other day, maybe that is a thing I am into this week. Who knew?  She is famous is my point, yet I would forgive many of you for not knowing her, I kind of just recognize her cause I have seen a few movies but have to look up how to spell her name.  She is most famous for being beautiful to look at, mysterious on screen, and basically not aging for like 40 years. Seriously, look at picture of her at 50 and pictures of her at 20 and sure her hair changed but otherwise it’s strikingly similar.  So she is unchanging but I am not.  She is here because I rewatched The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, which I will forgive you for not knowing.  A friend suggested it as a good companion to La La Land and it made sense the second I heard that and I did want to rewatch. It is a strikingly beautiful but sad movie about love and how it doesn’t always conquer all but maybe that’s ok.  What I find striking is just how much of art comes from what we bring to the table.  My views on the movie now are very different than they were when I was younger.  I always liked it but it is richer now, stronger, and I find my sympathies lie in multiple directions now.  There are no villains here, though in younger days I did want to cast Catherine Deneuve’s Genevieve as such.  Perception and age can change the way you view things, love included.  It is a gorgeous movie to look at and listen to and is moving.  I highly recommend it if you think you might enjoy a French musical.  Or not.  Of course, Catherine Deneuve was quite beautiful in it and you can see why someone would be so smitten with her.  Today I want to fuck Catherine Deneuve.

I always feel like I should almost apologize whenever I post the same person twice in a short time period.  Which is dumb because the blog is called what it’s called and time is a matter of human perception and besides, it just means I am not flighty and inconsistent.  Also, oh no, the same beautiful celebrity in a short time frame.  You guys going to be ok?  But I still feel bad, like my libido isn’t being creative enough.  Also, recently this blog has looked like it did when I started it, the same people are popping back up.  I guess everything is cyclical. Anyway, it’s not my fault that the Brits were last night and Katy Perry looked the best.  Look, there wasn’t really a ton of competition really, it wasn’t the best red carpet.  I mean, I try not to be too judgey because not everyone can pull off the same casual elegance of sitting around in their underwear on the Internet like I do but Katy Perry even looked better at the after party than a lot of people did at the event.  Disappointing I guess but I did quite like the colors and cut of her jacket and dress.  She looked good and this is always a good thing.  Today I want to fuck Katy Perry.

Pixie Lott was at the opening of a West End Musical last night and… so now she’s here.  Sometimes I feel like I don’t have a ton to say about her because when I post her it tends to boil down to gosh she’s pretty.  Like, that’s the entire motivation and it tends to be all I have to say.  So here she is cause gosh she’s pretty.  Today I want to fuck Pixie Lott.

Katy Perry is in London and has been doing some Fashion Week stuff and I sent a message last night to a friend saying that blue and brown is not usually a combination I think of as looking good or almost ever working but somehow it worked for Katy Perry yesterday.  I really thought she looked quite good.  Then again, there was probably a point in my life when I wouldn’t have thought a latex dress that was half stars and stripes and half union jack would have worked for me either but that did when she wore that like 8 years ago.  Also, I am kind of digging the blonde this time.  I feel bad when someone’s natural hair color doesn’t work for me but last time Katy let the blonde part out it didn’t click for me at all.  Maybe it’s the shade or the shorter cut but whatever it is this time I am really liking it.  It looks great.  I am sure this is all a huge relief to her since no doubt all anyone cares about is what some random creepy blogger thinks of their outfits and hair.  Well I am giving it the thumbs up because today I want to fuck Katy Perry.

This is one of those, “How have I never posted her” posts.  I actually though I might have.  I turns out I have talked about her in other people’s posts but I have never posted Laetitia Casta.  A picture of her popped up on my dash last night and I was like, “Man, Laetitia Casta was so damn hot in the 90’s”.  I mean, she’s still gorgeous.  Of course she is, she’s a hugely successful model.  I mean, she’s so beautiful that it’s basically the law in France that she is beautiful.  I know that sounds like the sort of nonsense I make up because I do that about foreign cultures but she literally is the model for the living embodiment of the French Republic and thus her bust is inside every French Town Hall because she is so beautiful.  And you know, that’s cool.  I have stuff going on, too.  Last night I made three shots in a row throwing Kleenex out into the trash can.  Anyway, she was my first real model crush.  I guess I knew the names of other models before her because models became big time celebrities in my childhood but Laetitia Casta was the first one I cared about (and probably the first one I knew that everyone in the world didn’t.  She was famous but not Pepsi Commercial famous).  But I don’t think about her that often anymore which is probably why she hasn’t shown up, cause I’ll see a picture and be like, damn, I was so into her.  But then stuff happens and it is forgotten the next day. So lucky us it appears nothing went on last night and I am thinking about Laetitia Casta still.  Cause damn she’s gorgeous.  Today I want to fuck Laetitia Casta.

Here’s a bunch of Barbara Palvin pics from Sports Illustrated cause she’s wanted to be posted all week but just hasn’t quite made it.  She has looked great at a lot of various related functions as well as some other things that were unrelated and… well, I almost feel bad that she kept coming in second day after day.  She probably isn’t too broken up about it but sometimes my blog feels insincere when I feel like someone is being skipped.  Like, I am not properly reflecting my own libido.  And if I don’t stand up for the truth then who will?  Anyway, no one is beating her today and it’s nice to get the chance to share some of the pics of her I liked best so here we are.  Today I want to fuck Barbara Palvin.

I can’t believe I am posting Kate Upton for the third time in 8 days.  I mean, I am sure some of you can believe it cause I have that reputation but it’s not 2012 anymore.  It is like a trip backwards in time.  Whatever is going on I am glad because she has looked great recently and more importantly she’s back to showing up all the time.  This is a good thing.  It wasn’t like I stopped posting her cause I was mad, she just showed up less often because she showed up less often everywhere.  So it’s only a good thing, even if it’ll just be for the next week or so, that she is suddenly popping up constantly for me.  I give it my thumbs up.  Today I want to fuck Kate Upton.

Well, if you didn’t know it was Fashion Week (well one of 4 big ones) then you should cause I am posting Kendall Jenner cause that’s basically when I end up posting her.  She is popular enough on the runway that she walks for enough places that I am bound to see some looks I like end she ends up here.  Though in fairness, my favorite look of hers this week was the pink jacket and skirt she wore on the Tonight Show, which is a bit of a cheat but it was really nice.  Very smart looking.  A little like ah uh… I dunno, Jacki O for a new Millennium.  Now I kinda wish it had a pillbox hat as well.  Oh well.  Anyway, she has caught my eye a couple of times but it’s been a busy week and a busy day so she is showing up now.  Because today I want to fuck Kendall Jenner.

Fashion Week just hasn’t gotten that many posts from me this time out and that’s a shame but… well, I can’t control who looks good at what and when the Grammys were and when the Swimsuit issue comes out and so on.  Anyway, here is Emily Ratajkowski cause I really liked what she wore to the Michael Kors show.  Houndstooth almost always looks good if you do it right.  Which might be the least profound thing I have ever said, this thing looks good when you do it in a way that looks good.  Anyway, she looked good and she has shown up at a lot of things and I have liked her look.  So here she is because today I want to fuck Emily Ratajkowski.
