I have always, since I was a kid, loved old Hammer Horror films.  I don’t think there was ever a moment I found them truly scary but I always found them so compelling.  They were beautiful and atmospheric and of course the women of Hammer.  It has been called Hammer Glamour and who knows what else but undeniably the women were very attractive and had an extra exotic element to them.  Maybe it was just being busty British women that made them seem exotic and sexy (Did I just make a break through here?  Kelly Brook, Rosie Jones, et al.  Did I just figure out why I feel a draw to British women?  I really, until this second, thought it was a much more recent thing).  I don’t know exactly what causes it but one of the many I liked was Dolly Read, who really wasn’t in anything but one Hammer movie in a bit part but here I am remembering who she is.  So… here she is.  Certainly she is better known for other work like say Playboy (seriously, you want boobs?  Click her tag, you’ll get boobs) but I think of Kiss of the Vampire and think of her.  And so today I want to fuck Dolly Read.

There is something interesting about the long ago stars of yesteryear.  I don’t know exactly what to call it but there is a difference in the way they move, they talk… in them.  I guess there is a sultriness?  Maybe it’s the movies I watch.  I do watch a fair number of old movies but they usually fall into a couple of categories: Psychological Westerns of the 50’s, Spaghetti Westerns of later, Jimmy Stewart Movies, and a lot of Film Noir.  That’s how I know Diana Dors, from her work as a femme fatale in various pieces of Noir or near Noir.  So, maybe it isn’t the women then, maybe it’s the women playing roles that are meant to make you understand why a man would risk his life and trust someone against his better judgement just because she is steeped in raw sexuality.   In what I consider an insulting turn of phrase she has been refered to as Britians only sex symbol export outside of Lady Godiva.  I have no clue if that’s true but I can see why in the 1950’s she would have been popular.  I think I first saw her in Tread Softly Stranger and she was far and away the best thing in it. As proof I have included two gifs from the movie.  I feel like at this point I don’t even need to say more, just look.  Today I want to fuck Diana Dors.

Who is up for a trip in the way back machine?  Well, I don’t care, it’s my tumblr, and no I am not sure how choosing a 1950’s sex symbol works but it isn’t like Kristen Bell is beating down my door either, so I don’t see it as less realistic (Though Kristen, if you’re reading this, please, stop by whenever you want, really, you don’t even have to call ahead, I’m yours when you need me).  Of the 1950’s Blonde Bombshells, Jayne Mansfield was #2 in popularity but #1 in va-va-va-voom.  Her ridiculous curves got her noticed but she was more than just a pretty face, possessing a genius intellect and keen insights in how to gain attention and maintain popularity she was a pretty in demand star.  I first saw her in the Girl Can’t Help It and if you don’t know the movie do yourself a favor and watch the trailer on YouTube, the way the woman walks… well, her career was eventually hurt by pills and her sex addiction but one of those things doesn’t hurt her in my eyes.  That hair, those curves, the wiggle, the walk, all of it is why today I want to fuck Jayne Mansfield.
