Kristen Bell was at the premier of whatever Teen Titans Go movie thing is happening. I am not informed about this at all because I am not someone who ever enjoyed Teen Titans Go. It wasn’t for me. Kristen Bell is for me though and she wore a sparkly sorta tux dress thing and boy it is great. Pseudo Tuxes and actual tuxes and so on tend to be great looks for women. I always want to promote this kind of thing. Plus it’s Kristen Bell, who if you don’t know, is my favorite. So win win for me. Today I want to fuck Kristen Bell.

Jessie Diggins is in this year’s body issue, which I suppose is old news if you follow that kind of thing but I don’t because you can’t follow everything. I actually am a big fan of what ESPN does with the body issue and I am sure someone has some issue with it because the world is full of haters but it does a remarkable job of covering lots of body types and lots of ages in a celebration of the human form. I mean, Greg Norman is in it this year and he’s 63, and looks fantastic by the way, and it’s just a nice. I am sure someone hates it because it’s nudity and some people cannot separate nudity from depravity but I consider it a positive thing that is put into the world once a year. And we get a double positive this time with Jessie Diggins who, and this is also old news but I am just catching up, wrote about it on her blog and her struggles with an eating disorder when she was in her late teens. I have always found Jessie Diggins delightful and the one time I posted her previously in the past it was about how delightful I found her despite her not medaling. Then she went and medaled and remained delightful and inspirational. And she continues to be both of those things here because the truth is admitting anything like this is braver than you know. Or maybe you do know. I don’t have an eating disorder but I like many have parts of my past that are considered taboo to talk about or something I should be ashamed of. It takes a lot of courage to come clean about these things because it will alter how people will see you and the simple truth is a lot of people will attack you for it. I haven’t looked cause god knows I don’t need the rage that builds up inside me but I am sure the internet is full of terrible people with things to say about how either she is doing this for attention (people love negative attention. I know I personally love being attacked and told what a terrible person I am. It is so much fun) or that she is lying and well, who knows. This sort of thing tends to bring out the most vile parts of humanity. But it helps people so she did it anyway because she’s brave and you know heroic. It’s what she does. This winter I was proud to have her represent me as an American and today I continue to be proud that she represents me and my country. I am thankful that she does and we get to have her. So I wanted to post her. Today I want to fuck Jessie Diggins.

Here is Darshelle Stevens who I actually only know about because of Hannah Ray. They are friends. I open with that because it’s just worth noting. Darshelle Stevens is probably more famous or more known or whatever the word is. But it’s the nature of fame in niche cultures these days that no one can know everything. Or even most things. So Darshelle Stevens is probably more ‘famous’ than Hannah Ray but in this household we care about Hannah Ray more and you will too as long as you’re under my roof! We also don’t pit woman against each other in this household so this whole thing has gotten weird. It’s a long intro to over explain a thing you don’t care about, dear reader. I am posting her today largely because of that D Va picture at the bottom. It’s my favorite type of cosplay. It isn’t based on a D Va costume from the game or anything but it is so very D Va. I like stealth cosplay. This one isn’t exactly stealth but it’s close. The sort of thing you could wear outside and a lot of people would just think are clothes but other people will immediately recognize as the character. I like this for a lot of reasons but in part it takes a sort of deeper thing than putting on spandex. You have to get to the core of someone. So it’s not just the colors or the bunny logo but the fact that she’s in an arcade and chewing gum. It just immediately feels right. To me at least. Anyway, she is pretty and I like that picture and I figured hey, why not throw together a few more because costumes are fun. Today I want to fuck Darshelle Stevens.

I am posting Pixie Lott because she wore a polka dot dress to… something having to do with the Voice Kids. Which, I haven’t looked this up but using my incredible powers of deductive reasoning, I assume is like Voice but for kids. Don’t worry if you didn’t know that. I am actually quite smart so I can see things others don’t. Anyway, she looked good and besides everyone knows my type is blonde British women who love polka dots. It’s a well documented science fact. So I am posting here because I have to. Today I want to fuck Pixie Lott.

So Taylor Swift interviewed Pattie Boyd for Harper’s Bazaar and this is all kinds of confusing and out of the blue but I am not even the least bit upset about it. It’s great. Patty Boyd is one of the most important people in rock history who never made music. For those who aren’t in the know, she was a model of some renown who became a photographer of great renown who then became the wife of a Beatle and the object desire of a guitar god and then the wife of that guitar god. There is a whole messy love triangle between her and George Harrison and Eric Clapton that has inspired some truly great art. I even put on Layla as I wrote this because why wouldn’t I? Anyway, rock icon aside, I in no way have thought at any point, “What does Taylor Swift think of Pattie Boyd”? It turns out she’s a big fan. I am glad. I think it could be exciting if an entire generation of people read Wonderful Today as a result. Either way, it is both bizarre and pretty cool that this happened. On top of that Taylor posed for some very classic 60’s style stuff and boy does that suit her. It’s not surprising, the secret of posing in looks of past decades is we’ve had literal years to filter away the garbage. You get to just choose the best stuff. Also, Taylor just does that kind of thing well. So I am posting her because it made me oddly happy to wake up to a Harper’s Bazaar with Pattie Boyd being interviewed by Taylor Swift and Taylor looks really good in the pictures. Today I want to fuck Taylor Swift.

So Natalie Dormer was at Wimbledon and it immediately brought to mind this old quote from Catch Me if You Can, “Why do the Yankees always win? Because the other team can’t keep their eyes off the pinstripes”. Now, there are some holes in this theory because how the fuck would you explain the Cubs for 100 years but I get the general thrust. A con man is saying it and the point holds a lot of validity, people can be easily dazzled and if they think you’re a winner than you’re a winner. The Yankees win cause they’re the Yankees. And I thought of that and I then thought maybe Natalie Dormer shouldn’t be allowed to wear pinstripes. Like, it could make her dangerously powerful. She’s already a living example of what happens if you are made of confidence, you mix that crooked smile with pinstripes and I can only think of it making her unstoppable. Like, take over the world unstoppable. I mean, it could be weeks of us laboring in her salt mines before it dawns on us, “Wait, why did we agree to this?” It just seems almost too dangerous to give that level of dazzle to someone who is already confident enough to convince you of anything face to face already. Dangerous. That’s all I’ll say though because I don’t want to be on record against the Overlord’s regime if it does come to pass. She looked good. I liked the suit. Today I want to fuck Natalie Dormer.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. If you are an American you should hold these words as near sacred. They are at the heart of the identity we have constructed for ourselves as a nation and as a people. But they aren’t just words. They were and are a radical and important sentiment. I would say the thing that makes July 4, 1776 just an important day in human history rather than the most important day in human history is the inherent hypocrisy of the grand sentiments Thomas Jefferson put down followed by our treatment of African Slaves and Native American populations. I’m not trying to bring you down but it’s important to note how close we can to being truly radical in our approach to how man treats man. It’s important to always keep in your heart and on your mind and look around to see if we are still falling short today. It is a guiding principle and a standard we should never fall short of. If we find ourselves doing so then we should do what we can to correct our course. Happy 4th of July everyone. I hope your day is good, I hope it’s fun. If you’re not an American I still hope it’s good but I am imagining fewer hot dogs, hamburgers and fireworks in your day. But hey, I have no problem if you choose to indulge in those things today. I am posting Lili Reinhart because she was in Harper’s Bazaar and looked really good. On top of that, there are few things that feel more American to me than Archie Comics and Betty and Veronica. Your mileage may vary but the comics were ubiquitous in my childhood. I didn’t know anyone who was intensely a fan of the comics but I also didn’t know anyone who hadn’t read a bunch at some point and wasn’t familiar with it. Art can serve multiple roles in our world. Sometimes it is aspirational, sometimes it is critical, and sometimes like with Archie it serves as a window into how we see ourselves. Betty Cooper is a deeply decent and good person in the comics and even on Riverdale from what I have seen, though I fell off in season 2. Either way, the world of Archie paints American kids as good and decent people for the most part. It is how we tend to see ourselves and again, we should ask ourselves if we are falling short or not. Is the world functioning the way we think it should? Well, anyway, Lili Reinhart is pretty. And an American. So take that King George. You can suck it with our pretty girls and hot dogs and what not. Today I want to fuck Lili Reinhart.

Here is Pixie Lott cause she was at a show at Paris Fashion Week and she looked quite good on account of that being her thing in general. Looking good. Also she’s here because it’s my friends @wildflagsure birthday and she thinks Pixie Lott is almost as attractive as a body slam, which might seem like a weird turn of phrase but I am not having a stroke, she just is really into professional wrestling. Really. Anyway, she finds Pixie Lott attractive and I can’t say she’s wrong. So drop her a line and say Happy Birthday. And enjoy these pictures of pretty, pretty Pixie Lott. Go Glow hit Netflix yesterday and I have watched like half of it. It was great. The show was just a beautiful mess in it’s second season. Which sounds like faint praise or maybe an insult but it wasn’t. It’s more like I am sure some people will feel like it should have been more soundly structured or a little tighter but to me that is a part of the charm. The show is funny and touching and just kind of hard for me to describe. It’s not high drama but I care deeply about the characters. It skillfully addresses a lot of things, perhaps more often and most importantly woman trying to operate in a space dominated by men. But it’s more than anything that it just feels… right somehow. I don’t know. It’s a comedy. Mostly. Though most of my laughs are not belly laughs yet I adore every second of it. It makes me care about the characters more than a lot of dramas do. I think part of that is what TV does well when it does well. You can start with stock characters and flesh them out in a way very few other mediums can (serialized comics are about the only other thing I can think of that has this chance and even that is different). Like, to the degree I almost posted Kate Nash today because even scene where she is just in the background you know she is going to be doing something delightful and it really informs her character. But I am going with Betty Gilpin because I last year I watched the first season in two days and thus ran out of time to post everyone. And she deserves praise because she has a thankless role in a lot of ways. She isn’t a very likable character. She isn’t bad or mean she’s just almost… it’s hard to root for someone who is so obviously gifted by the luck of genetics. Maybe it’s different for other people but as annoying as I could see Ruth being, it’s hard for me to root for Debbie over her. And they aren’t enemies but they are antagonists more often than not. It’s rich and layered and it’s impressive how Gilpin pulls off someone who this season felt more and more like a villain at some points. Anyway, if you haven’t watched GLOW before you should check it out. Like, I like it and I am not a wrestling person. Maybe the best recommendation I can give is that I know multiple women who watched the show and it became one of their favorite shows ever. My friend Katherine gave it the highest praise and surprised me the most. She watched it because I praised it and I think watched it all in one night. Maybe two. But returned to tell me it is her favorite thing ever. And on paper there is nothing about a wrestling show that should be for her. So that’s high praise. Today I want to fuck Betty Gilpin.

Tove Lo performed at a Pride Festival in New York and wow, she looked fantastic. Of note, going a truer blonde has done wonders for her. It’s weird, it’s such a small change in hair color but it is really working for me for some reason. She looks great. And you know, sparkly rainbow outfits are always good. I think. They don’t get work a lot, so maybe there are situations where they are bad. I have never been in a meeting in some fancy office where someone came in in a sparkly rainbow suit. Now that I bring it up I wish I had but I never have. But in situations where I have seen them I enjoy them. So today I want to fuck Tove Lo.
