So the Oscars were last night and hey, some wild stuff sure happened there at the end.  Anyway, the fashion there was fine but not that exciting this year.  The Golden Globes were way better (though some of the viewing parties and after party pics are starting to come through and as often happens they are trumping the stuff worn the actual event).  As such, I really only had a couple of things that were tempting to post today and I went probably the safest route by choosing Amy Adams.  Not that I am complaining, for an actress I quite like and someone who is beautiful she pops up here so rarely.  Her silver dress is kind of classic looking but was just fantastic on her and it’s well documented I am easily impressed by shiny things.  I saw both of her big movies this year and I happened to like but not love both.  She was excellent in them though because of course she was.  She always is.  Today I want to fuck Amy Adams.

For a show where I just despised the pilot it’s amazing how much I am digging Riverdale (even though I want to type Archie every time).  At first my fears were that it was a dark and twisted and so boring re-imagining of the Archie Universe that would wade through my least favorite tropes in the world, including the idea that all young people are irredeemable moral reprobates corrupted by laziness and easy access to everything and the idea that somehow bleakness and negativity is profound and deep while anything with hope is shallow and facile.  I tend to hate lazy faux-intellectualism and I really hate how much people love to shit on the youth of today, and by the youth of today I mean through out history that is a thing that has always happened.  If you’d like to hear about how unambitious and lazy the generation of Julius Ceasar was I can point you towards some Roman texts.  Anyway, the show ended up not being that which was a relief but even better it has done something very few shows ever accomplish, it has mainly filled its universe with good people.  That doesn’t mean there aren’t problems and conflicts but other than some fucked up adults, these are good, well meaning human beings.  Which is a relief because that was always part of the appeal of the Archie Universe.  These were normal teenagers and like normal teenagers they might be selfish or foolish or cruel in a moment but at their core they were good people just trying to figure out life. They are good to each other and they are friends.  It’s a nice change of pace because as entertaining as it can be you’ll notice most TV dramas are populated by sociopaths and narcissists who are so selfishly motivated in their every action the world would be a horror show if reality was at all like that.  So this is why I have warmed up the Riverdale, even the mean girls are humanized and maybe they aren’t just evil engines of destruction but people desperately trying to get by.  Veronica is still the best character on the show which makes sense cause she was always the best character in the comic but I am liking what they are doing with perpetual side character and also ran Cheryl Blossom. She seemed like a typical mean girl and in many ways is but her erratic behavior as it gets fleshed out feels more real.  Sympathy for the devil I suppose.  Madelaine Petsch is might nice to look at too.  Which is nice.  So today I want to fuck Madelaine Petsch.

Every year I try to watch all the major award contender films before the Oscars come around.  I like to have an informed opinion before I pronounce awards shows horse shit.  Usually in my experience there are one or two gems, a whole lot of prestige stuff that is by the numbers and nothing particularly special but is very awards baity and the sort of thing the Oscars will nominate (a few years ago and now I can’t remember who, but an actual Oscar winning director said that if the Academy was fair then the Conjuring would have been nominated for best director because it was the best directed film of the year.  But that isn’t the kind of movie that gets nominated).  Anyway, this is a long way of saying most years this leads to at least one Jessica Chastain performance and it isn’t an overstatement to say that is one of the highlights of each year.  Not because I am attracted to her but because even if the movie she is in is one of those by the numbers cut and paste December prestige films her performance is always among the best I will see that year.  I can think of a number of movies in the past couple of years that were just ok but had me transfixed because she is so remarkable.  So boy was I disappointed when I realized this morning I have no Chastain performance to look forward to.  She was really only in one movie this year that would be considered and it was a bit of a flop.  I will get to it eventually but I didn’t even know it had ever come out because it came and went that quickly.  I honestly feel robbed.  Now I am worried we won’t get a lot of Jessica Chastain on the red carpet because it occurs to me I haven’t seen a lot of Jessica Chastain on the red carpet yet this awards season and good God, it’s like 2017 is really just out to destroy every ounce of hope we have.  Well fuck you, I am posting her anyway.  And I’m going to watch Miss Sloane just to spite whatever malicious force has this year set up the way it is.  Because Jessica Chastain is wonderful and I love watching her work.  Today I want to fuck Jessica Chastain.

It’s Friday the 13th so that means when the clock struck midnight I started another Friday the 13th movie.  I am up to Freddy vs. Jason in my cycle.  Which is you know… not great.  It’s not as bad as some people make it out to be, it certainly delivers on the whole Freddy vs. Jason part.  Kinda.  But Katharine Isabelle is a good example of why it was disappointing as she was the big clue it was going to be ahead of time.  She was clear about her disappointment in her role and the movie in general when it was being made.  I mean, she was coming off of what was almost an immediate classic in Ginger Snaps, so she knew what she was doing and uh… she wasn’t impressed.  And she was underused. Because she wasn’t given a character.  Almost no one was except the two leads, who it turns out were not great and their characters were stupid (I mean, they were in love but hadn’t seen each other in 5 years but they’re both 17? Really?  In love at 12?  Really movie? I can believe in a Dream Killer and an unkillable mamma’s boy, but the idea that two 12 year olds have a deep, deep love that persists in the 5 years apart and prevents them from dating anyone else pushes the bounds of believability to me).  Anyway, the movie has it’s moments and one of those is every time Katharine Isabelle is on screen because I love Katharine Isabelle and welcome any chance to see her.  Even if she is being underused.  I mean, at least i get to see her, you guys have no idea how hard it is to find pictures of her.  Dear world, please make her more famous for me, thanks.  Happy Friday the 13th guys, resist the urges to go skinny dipping or ignore your responsibilities to bang a coworker.  It’ll bit you in the ass!  Today I want to fuck Katharine Isabelle.

Like, the brain starts going a direction and it all snowballs.  One thing leads to another and suddenly you’re posting Sophie Turner.  Good news I guess if you like Sophie Turner.  Lord knows you guys do, she always seems to be popular. I get it.  Red hair.  Very eye catching.  Today I want to fuck Sophie Turner.

Sorry guys, the day got away from me, it was busy and now I have important plans to relax with a dear friend.  I had some one to post this morning but this morning is gone.  I am instead posting Bella Thorne cause the Critics Choice awards were last night and she looked good.  I quite liked her dress.  I am not sure how others will feel about it but I think well placed sheer fabric is always nice and I do like shine things.  Today I want to fuck Bella Thorne.

The AMAs were last night and I had a friend immediately predicting that I would post someone from them which, yeah, of course, that’s usually how this works.  I am not sure I can declare a winner though because so far it was largely disappointing but also I feel like there must be more pictures out there.  I know people where there and no pictures yet.  So… I dunno, people are sleeping on them I guess.  Anyway, at this point Bella Thorne stood out and it’s sort of an example of just how damn pretty she is.  Cause I didn’t hate her outfit but it also didn’t thrill me.  Yet at the same time in so many of the pictures of her I was like, “Fuck, she’s so good looking”.  Because yeah, Bella Thorne is crazy pretty.  Ridiculously so.  Which is why she is here, even if black leather bikini tops aren’t really my thing today I want to fuck Bella Thorne.

So Christina Hendricks is starting to do press for the new Bad Santa movie and that’s a good thing.  Hopefully the movie is good, the original certainly was hilarious.  But also I never even think about Christina Hendricks anymore so it’s nice to have her brought back to my attention.  Once Mad Men was gone I guess it was easy for her to fade into the background.  She looked pretty though and I will always adore her for her work on the show and I look forward to seeing her in Bad Santa as well.  Today I want to fuck Christina Hendricks.

It’s been a bit, since Cannes actually, since I have posted Jessica Chastain so if you don’t know, she is my favorite actor.  I absolutely love her, she has an ability to create a character and make interesting choices that I consider unparalleled.  Even something that isn’t good is worth watching if she is in it because he performance always demands viewing.  Now, I haven’t seen anything new with her, it is just that she has been showing up in photoshoots left and right recently, which is a good sign.  It is the first signal of Chastain season arriving, and it seems to be arriving slightly early this  year.  I am all of that, give me prestige premiers and award shows from now until March filled with Jessica Chastain wearing gowns.  I am down for this.  Anyway, here she is because I think she is gorgeous and I just love her.  Today I want to fuck Jessica Chastain.

So Bella Thorne was in Playboy and I guess people are excited by that and I guess I get it, they take nice pictures and now that nudity is gone maybe we’ll get some nice celebrity shots.  I feel like there is a lot to pack about people’s reaction to Bella Thorne but I am not feeling great and am super tired.  I have woken up tired for days due to stuffed up heads and so on.  So I will simply say that for those of you who are going to make comments that you think are well intentioned about what a slut she is or how “thirsty” she is or how you think she’s a tease you can go fuck yourself.  I would normally argue this point more, explaining the flaws in your basic premise and the disturbing places it comes from, and maybe be nicer but I don’t have the energy.  Get bent.  Today I want to fuck Bella Thorne.
