I was torn today between posting Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively because I thought both looked fantastic at the premier of A Simple Favor. I guess I eventually settled on Anna cause I liked her red dress a little more? It’s hard to say though, Blake looked fantastic. I mean, it’s not hard to say, clearly I have made my choice. And I stand by it. I am just saying the competition was fierce. I realize I haven’t actually read any reviews about the movie, just that Anna Kendrick apparently has a crush on Blake Lively. I dunno if that’s a bad sign or not. I hope the movie is good. Today I want to fuck Anna Kendrick.

Olivia Munn had a bit of a rough weekend and I guess that had me thinking about her and I want to show my support? I mean, I don’t post people here to show support but I can’t post her without mentioning it. Some people seem genuinely confused and I get why. I am a person who believes in forgiveness and I believe in second chances. That should be said. So I understand the impulse that I keep seeing from men which is essentially, “Well, there has to be a route back from a mistake”. Or some version of that. I get the impulse. I think if you are one of those people it is likely even coming from a good place. But the problem here is that it seems all your empathy is only going towards men. And you might not think so because I don’t think anyone sets out to do that. I don’t think you are sitting down and saying I only care about men but it is how it appears if you step back and look objectively. Because women were victims of these men and women have suffered and yet somehow the conversation is about what can we do for these men. I don’t like revenge. And eye for an eye is never actually justice. So understand that I am not calling fro the victimizer to suffer the same as the victim or anything like that but it can be important to think for a moment. Women have had lives and careers ruined. Black balled, forced out of the industry. Forever. So when I hear the argument that a guy has a right to a living it rings hollow. Not because I think he should suffer as much as his victims in some tit for tat sense but because no one is saying he can’t work. They are saying maybe he can’t work in this job. And it’s hard to both feel bad for him but also it’s hard to see how the concern is about his livelihood. I don’t see the same people saying people need to let the victims who have been cost work to be given jobs. So if you are someone who doesn’t get why people aren’t seeming forgiveness try to look at it from that angle. I think it would be helpful. Also it can be important to remember that forgiveness and redemption are different things. Forgiveness is personal and I don’t think it can or should be earned. You don’t make someone earn your forgiveness. It’s a gift you give them because they need it to be whole again. You are helping that person move forward. And that is between you and another person. Redemption is public and it is earned. And it’s ok to make someone earn that. That is not a cruelty, that is a matter of assurance that this person really is contrite and really has grown. The thing to remember here regardless is that Olivia Munn is a woman who indeed faced sexual harassment in her career and was not comfortable working with a child predator. So she said something. To make her a villain is shocking to me. I am not sure why she would be expected to swallow her tongue when the whole lesson we should have learned here is that we need to stop expecting people without the power to just take it for the sake of those with power. The biggest industry criticism seems to be she shouldn’t have made this public and gone thought he ‘proper’ channels. Which is how we got to the shit point. It’s ridiculous. So I guess I wanted to say that, which is unrelated to why I am posting her but needs to be said because I am posting her. I am posting her because I think she is very funny and very beautiful. Today I want to fuck Olivia Munn.

Here is Katherine Langford who I think is exceptionally pretty. Always kind of have since she first showed up in that show that frankly wasn’t great but I get why it caught fire. She was great in it. And she occasionally shows up on red carpets (yet somehow not on my screen, why isn’t she getting more work). She was at the Ralph Lauren show for Fashion Week this weekend and I took that as an excuse to post her. She looked good. Today I want to fuck Katherine Langford.

Hey guys, here is some Emma Watson for you. I could make some jokes about Millennials loving Emma Watson and a reference to like, Avocado and killing industries but I won’t. Largely because I can’t be certain I haven’t made that joke before. It’s not original either way. Emma Watson was for some reason repeatedly placed in my path yesterday. It seemed like either the universe was telling me something or I was experiencing confirmation bias. As far as I am concerned a great cosmic purpose unfolded before me or  me experiencing a common cognitive bias seem equally as likely. So we’ll never know which it was. As a result, today I want to fuck Emma Watson.

Chloe Moretz is in Venice to promote Suspiria at their film festival and well, some of what she has worn is questionable but you know, no more questionable than a Suspiria remake. It seems like my entire adult life Hollywood has been remaking movies and people have been bitching about it. Of course, the truth is Hollywood always remade movies but before the internet people often weren’t aware and so when you slap a new title on an old story form 10 years prior it meant a lot of the audience had no idea and more importantly a lot of them had never seen the previous movie. There were no TVs and there were no video cassettes so once it was gone it was gone. But in the more modern era you remake a movie to keep your job safe. Hollywood is very risk averse and a flop can cost you your job. Unless it’s not your fault. One of the ways Hollywood tests to see if a movie will be successful is to see about name recognition. Remakes automatically have that built in so if they flop an executive can say, “Well, it’s not my fault, all our testing showed it was going to be a hit. Look at the name recognition!”. So that is why we see so many remakes today, it’s a CYA thing. But Suspiria doesn’t feel like a well known movie to me. I say that as an insider looking out. It is a very well regarded film among film scholars and horror fans but I don’t remember kids on the playground ever talking about Suspiria. On top of that, it’s a bullshit nonsense movie like every Dario Argento movie. It is compelling because it is among the most beautiful things ever committed to film. It is a visual feast and just google it and you will see people talking about the color pallet and the use of color. It is a work of art. But like almost everything Argento did it makes no sense. The plot is barely there, it uses ridiculous moon man logic and it’s basically him just throwing shit together and making it look pretty and hoping that’s enough. That was enough for a lot of people. The problem is that makes this movie a bad remake. Because you can ape the visual style and then what’s the point. No one hires a real artist to repaint the Mona Lisa. You just buy an art print. So the director has wisely said he won’t try to do that. Which leaves you with a stupid movie that was all about visuals and you stripped the visuals away. Of course, it could be awesome. Maybe he’s basically just taking the name and the idea of a creepy school. I just feel like they are facing an uphill battle here. So for Chloe’s sake I hope it’s good, I think she has  been in some not great stuff as an adult. As a horror fan I hope it’s good. Oh, also she looks pretty? Did you not come here for my thoughts on Suspiria? I mean, I called the Blog Who I want to Fuck Today, I don’t know how I could have made it clearer that there would be a lot of talk about 70’s Italian Horror. Today I want to fuck Chloe Moretz.

I spent last night watching a bunch of episodes of the Avengers. The old British TV show that was probably what most people thought of when they heard the name The Avengers until sometime in the last decade or so. Or, most people probably thought, “huh, what?” But maybe more people thought of the quirky British TV show before they thought of the comic book. Anyway, I had caught and episode or two in the past and found it full of British charm but I have a friend who has recently become obsessed whit it so I decided to sit down and catch a few episodes and that turned into a handful because it really is fun. It’s a mix of silly and serious with a wry British wit. It reminds me of the best parts of the Roger Moore James bond and none of the flaws. Of course, Diana Rigg was a Bond girl. She was in the one everyone said sucked when I was a kid and everyone thinks is great now. She is why I am posting. I kind of couldn’t decide who I was posting, Diana Rigg or her character Emma Peel and the truth is it is a bit of both. Emma Peel is very crush worthy because she’s amazing. I get why she is a feminist icon. My friend Katherine told me she is her favorite hero because she doesn’t exist to be saved by a man. And one thing that was striking to me watching the show is that she and John Steed are completely equal. The entire show operates as if it never occurred to anyone making it that someone might treat a woman as less than equal. Certainly it never occurs to refined gentleman John Steed that Emma Peel is anything but his equal. That alone makes the show feel radical (along with there being nothing sexual between them. Television and media in general has a hard time accepting any male/female friendship without trying to insert some sort of romance. It’s one of the many issues I have with fandoms and shippers actually). So I was thinking of posting Emma Peel because she is awesome and on top of that she is funny and stylish and just oozes charisma. But that felt like a disservice to the actress, who surely is responsible for a great deal of that. Perhaps the oddest thing is most people reading this may not recognize her but she is a major character in Game of Thrones. It’s strange how the world keeps moving no matter what we wish. So I have settled on Diana Rigg, knowing it is a mix. I love what she has done with Emma Peel in what I have seen and good god is she easy to look at. Today I want to fuck Diana Rigg.

Here is Lili Reinhart cause she was in Variety and I thought she looked very nice in it. It was a cool little photoshoot. Also she was at an event last night and so like… what, am I supposed to ignore all the signs. Those signs being that uh… she exists and goes outside I guess? I dunno, it felt like I was supposed to post here. This is more art than science. Today I want to fuck Lili Reinhart.

Here is Chloe Moretz cause she is still showing up in stuff cause of her new movie. Which is good. I am glad it’s getting attention. I have heard mostly good things about it and I have to say as long as it is well handled then it feels like it is a great chance for her to do strong work. I think Chloe is a very good actress and has been since she was a child but a lot of the movies she has been in as an adult have been real misses. I will be glad for something that gives her a chance to show off her skills. I will say that I can think of fewer heart breaking things than the betrayal of being forced into conversion therapy, it’s a betrayal from the people you love telling you that what you are something they cannot accept or handle. It seems awful and it means I am not rushing out to see it cause… well, it just sounds very bleak. But I am glad if it is doing well and I am glad if it means a lot to a lot of people. And she looks good in the waves of pictures that keep coming in so today I want to fuck Chloe Moretz.

So Blake Lively has been all around promoting her new movie the past week or so and people have been critical of what she has worn. And I get it. I didn’t even include her neon green suit that was… well, a bit too neon green if you ask me. And her rainbow plaid thing people compared to a clown and I can see that. But you know what I also see? I also someone who kind of looks like a pimp. And I don’t mean that in saying she looks cool. I mean like, she wouldn’t have looked out of place in Starsky and Hutch as someone Huggy Bear knew. I guess I consider that a good thing. What I am saying is that if Blake Lively were a pimp and she decided to turn me out to have sex with her and her friends for money I would consider it. Because I am a deeply good person and I understand rejection is painful. So I wouldn’t do that to her. Plus I think she looks really good. I don’t think all of the looks quite work for me. Crushed velvet is hard to pull off, even if you’re Blake Lively. But I think that white suit and the plaid one she looks great. I don’t think most people could make them work. But she does. Today I want to fuck Blake Lively.

Here is Olivia Munn cause she is pretty. I like just posted her but she was at the VMAs and apparently at an after party and she looked good and that’s all it takes. Like right now that’s literally all it takes. She’s good looking. Today I want to fuck Olivia Munn.
